A trip to Paris in late July proved to be sweltering in an extraordinary summer with temperatures in the mid 30 degrees C. We stayed in Montmartre and used the Metro to get to the centre of the city. Highlights were the Musee D’Orsay art gallery and a boat trip along the Canal Saint Martin onto the River Seine, and of course the freshly restored Notre Dame Cathedral after the devastating fire of 2019.
