MEVLANA - RUMI MUSEUM
The Mevlâna Museum, in Konya, Turkey, started life as the dervish lodge of the Mevlevi order, better known as the whirling dervishes. It houses the mausoleum of Jalal ad-Din Muhammad Rumi, a Persian Sufi mystic. Rumi, also called by the honorific Mawlana (Our Master), is an influential figure in Sufism, and his thought and works loom large both in Persian literature and mystic poetry in general.
